👻Haunted By Plastic Waste in East Hampton, NY🥤

October 31, 2022

This Halloween, Beyond Plastics supporter, Gloria Maroti Frazee's decorations were truly terrifying.😨 She created a "plastic ocean on land" using a tiny fraction of the plastic in her home and paired her "haunted by plastic" house with information to educate trick-or-treaters and passersby, including a shout-out for our 10 tips to for reuse.

Gloria also submitted a wonderful letter to the editor that was published in the East Hampton Star. "Unless something changes, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish by 2050. We can all make changes. I’ve started by carrying my reusable water bottle. (If I can remember my phone, I can remember my water bottle.)" Her scary plastic house was also mentioned at the town board meeting, giving Gloria an in to discuss plastic pollution in upcoming town work sessions.

Bravo, Gloria - this gives us chills! We hope you don't mind if we copy your brilliant idea next Halloween.
